Throughout the course, students will learn a range of skills which will equip them to maintain and secure IT systems, servers and networks, and be adequately prepared to sit the SSCP exam. Undertaking this course will allow you to begin your journey to CISSP certification while simultaneously gaining your work experience. 

This course is designed for IT professionals who want a globally recognised IT security certification and those seeking to begin their journey to CISSP certification . Individuals working in or wishing to work in roles such as: systems/network administrator, security analyst, network security engineer, systems engineer, security consultant/specialist, systems/network analyst, database administrator and security administrator are encouraged to gain their SSCP certification.

Prerequisites

A minimum of one year full-time work experience working in one of the following seven domains of the SSCP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK):

  • Security Operations and Administration;

  • Risk identification, Monitoring, and Analysis;

  • Incident Response and Recovery;

  • Cryptography;

  • Network and Communications Security;

  • Systems and Application Security.

OR

Hold a degree in cybersecurity from an approved college/university or regionally equivalent education program.

OR

Hold a degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Computer Science;

  • Computer Engineering;

  • Computer Systems Engineering;

  • Management Information Systems (MIS);

  • Information Technology (IT).
